A cable utility audit is a necessary function in the telecommunications industry. During the course of the audit, a company representative (or team of representatives) will travel through a local area and conduct either a physical audit or a visual audit of the existing cable and utility system(s). Basically, what we do is verify that the system is ready for installation OR not. In addition, if we observe any anything odd, such as damaged wires or encroaching trees which may hinder the customer's service, our representative are instructed to notify the customer and complete a survey to return to the company. That information will be relayed to the service provider with the ambition of correcting the issue or at least become aware of it when new service(s) are orders.
In short, an audit is EYES ON THE GROUND to make sure bad services are diminished as much as possible.
